A Question about Kentucky Fried Chicken?

Mr. Yammaha asked:

Ok, KFC is worst American resturant I have ate at so far. My question is, does Col. Sanders, who was born in Indiana call his place Kentucky Fried, and why do their commercials play Sweet Home Alabama?
I don’t see how me eating sushi has anything to do with this.
And I’m Japanese, jackass, not Chinese.

This is coming from a guy who eats raw fish? lol

Listen, it doesnt have to make sense, it just has to taste good. Which it does. So stop making fun of our countries fast food chains.

The only thing you have going for us is Benihana’s and Panda Express.

Or why does he have Famous Bowls? They just came out on the menu, how can they be famous? Just because the company calls them famous, that doesnt’ automatically make them famous.

He lived in Kentucky and was a chef at a restaurant there when he came up with his recipe for chicken. They probably just used the song because a lot of people recognize it.

Also, I like KFC. Maybe you’re eating at some badly run ones.

At the age of 40, Sanders cooked chicken dishes for people who stopped at his service station in Corbin, Kentucky. Since he didn’t have a restaurant, he served the diners in his living quarters in the service station. Eventually, his local popularity grew, and Sanders moved to a motel and restaurant that seated 142 people and worked as the chef. Over the next nine years, he perfected his method of cooking chicken that used the same eleven herbs and spices that are used today at KFC[citation needed]. Furthermore, he made use of a pressure cooker that enhanced the flavor[citation needed] and allowed the chicken to be cooked much faster than pan-frying. He was given the honorary title Kentucky Colonel in 1935 by Governor Ruby Laffoon. Unlike most people who receive this title, Sanders chose to call himself Colonel and to dress in a stereotypical southern gentleman costume as a way of self-promotion.
“Sweet Home Alabama” is being played in the background of this particular commercial, it is because it’s Southern-inspired and that’s what KFC is all about.

Brandy gave you a good breakdown on the KFC thing. Some people like KFC, and some don’t. I like their food, but I am picky about the restaurant being clean and the food fresh. Many restaurants today just don’t care as much about that unless it’s time for the Health Inspector. Sorry about the racist comments you endured. I find them pathetic, but so many people today are prejudiced that many don’t even realize they are being racists. Worse many don’t care as long as they can hide behind a keyboard.

I must agree with almost everyone. Not only is the food gross but they have the slowest or dumbest people working there. I have been to 2 diff ones in the Toledo area and had a horrible experience with both. I guess the best answer should be look at how the company is run and you got you answer
