you can freeze any meat and long as it’s cooked. It’s only when you defrost frozen meat, then refreeze without cooking that it’s dangerous. I wouldn’t keep it in the freezer much longer than a month. Keep the bones too, they’ll make a good stock for soup.

it is not recomended that you freeze or even reheat any takeout or fast food because you have know way of knowing how that food was handled in the resaurant(ie what hold temp. how long, etc.) unless you cook it yourself don’t keep leftovers.

Leftover KFC should not be used in soups or casseroles. It should be consumed a day or two later when you’re seeking Nirvana and you find heaven in that greasy bucket.

You can’t reheat left over take away food so it wouldn’t be very nice once it had defrosted. It isn’t recommended to freeze it.

As someone who has worked for Kfc, I can confirm that the cooked chicken (with the exception of the chicken ****** used in burgers) has never been frozen prior to cooking.
Once cooked, it will be kept at a high temperature for up to a maximum safe period before being sold to the public.
After this period, it should either be eaten immediately or (in my opinion only, as Kfc themselves do not recommend you freeze it) can be frozen as soon as cold.
However, once thawed, I would highly recommend it is heated thoroughly and to a high temperature and preferably mixed in stews or soups, as you suggest, so that it is held at a high temperature for an extended period of time.
One time, we suffered a massive power cut only minutes before we were due to open for the days trading….we had everything cooked. After about ten minutes, the meat fell below the standard temperature level that we could sell the meat at, and so we had to close. We had six trays of chicken!!! So we shared out the meat and took it home to freeze (highly naughty!) but we all ate chicken for days and weeks after that and we all lived to tell the tail!
