They are sometimes also called Field Consultants or Franchise Field Consultants. In small franchise systems they are sometimes identical to District Managers.

These Consultants travel around on behalf of the Franchise parent company to it’s individual locations and make sure the location are running according to system standards, help troubleshoot their problems, help them with strategies to be profitable and in some cases perform formal inspections.

A QSR is a Quick Service Restaurant, such as Wendy’s, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken etc.

At KFC, they have the drumstick and there is also get the other larger piece of fried chicken. Is it called the thigh?

If i’m not making myself clear above, say when you order two pieces of chicken at KFC, they usually give you one drumstick and then one other piece of chicken, what is that piece of chicken called?

Stupid question, but i have a bet with someone that it is called the thigh, but i’m not sure myself.

I have a set of glasses that were purchased at KFC (before it was known as KFC) in Australia around the late 80’s (possibly early 90’s). They have pictures of 2 characters, one is a tuxedo wearing Fox with a top hat and the other is a Parrot like bird (although it’s possibly a chicken or rooster) with a large orange/yellow beak, wearing blue pants with yellow stripes up the sides and suspenders and a civil war cap (with the guns crossed over the front)

Does anyone remember what these characters were called and how they came to represent KFC?

I have searched the net quite a bit but without the names of the characters, I haven’t been able to locate anything.
Thanks to some totally random listing on ebay from the US, I have found out that the characters were apparently called “Freddie Fox and Charlie” I still have no info as to why they were KFC characters and probably never will. The names ring absolutely no bells with me at all, but that doesn’t surprise me since the 80’s were a long time ago.
