Likely not… most places use the most cost-effective oil available… which means [partially] hydrogenated vegetable oils (like corn and soybean).

No wonder their chicken tastes so good. Lard is excellent to fry chicken and other foods; and it makes good pie crusts. But, I have heard about a lot of chicken places using vegetable oil, too.

While lard will make things taste good very few places will use it anymore due to health reasons.
