Bucky Ruckus asked: Like, you reckon their execs have a secret worst-case scenario where they start selling cheeseburgers, or they have somebody in a lab developing the Colonel’s “Soy Chicken”?
Whether or not the virus shows up in commercial chicken, and can be killed by cooking aside, I was more concerned about the effect of the uninformed massses freaking and avoiding poultry altogether regardless.

No bird flu can be cooked out of the bird. Actually there’s probably gov’t testing going on before the birds can be sold to be eaten. It’s mainly wild birds that are carrying it and the commercial birds are kept inside.

The H5N1 virus is sensitive to heat. Normal temperatures used for cooking (70oC in all parts of the food) will kill the virus. Consumers need to be sure that all parts of the poultry are fully cooked (no “pink” parts) and that eggs, too, are properly cooked (no “runny” yolks).

KFC launched their “fishburgers” recently in singapore/malaysia; MacDonald’s hit back with “chicken foldovers”. My spies in China continue to grumble over the long queues at KFC counters, not at MacDonald’s. Who’s sweating?

Obviously they would. Major chicken producers thats poultry companies have given enough money to the government to coverup the bird flu fact. In real the bird flu exists and has spread to more areas than its claimed to have.

They dont use chicken. they genetically modify animals. Sometimes they batter fry rats.

Don’t think so, because the chicken you now eat at KFC is no longer real chicken..it’s all genetically engineered to taste like chicken and I would imagine the food laboratories already have everything covered to feed us more genetically modified food when the time comes.
