Using KFC’s nutritional calculator, assuming you order cole slaw and mashed potatoes and gravy as your two sides, 1165 Calories. That’s around half of your daily caloric intake, if you keep track of such stuff. 65 grams of fat, which is almost a day’s worth.

I’m not the CSPI Food Police, but even I’d want to think twice about this meal putting me in a big box…

I calculated the nutrition information for KFC’s Variety Big Box Meal exactly as they show it in their commercials, minus the BBQ dipping sauce (which I couldn’t find on their website).

It has 1175 calories if you order it as follows:
    - Original Recipe Drumstick
    - Cole Slaw
    - Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
    - No Drink

    Of course it also includes
    - 1 Crispy Strip (but no dipping sauce)
    - 1 individual order of popcorn chicken
    - a dry biscuit (no butter or honey)

Scarily this “meal” has 100% of your recommended daily Total Fat, 64% of one day’s Saturated Fat limit, almost 1.5 day’s worth of sodium, and 7.75 grams of (bad) Trans Fats. Around 40% of the meal’s total calories are provided by Fat. If you are a Weight Watcher, you might like to know that it is 34 points. Also, it has a whopping 95 grams of sugar — that’s nearly 24 TEASPOONS full of sugar… without a beverage and without any [sweet] BBQ dipping sauce!

If you order one of these, I hope you have a high metabolism and/or share it with several other people. :)
My question.. How much does it cost?
    (I’m guessing $6-$8. Am I close?)
