How to make Fried chicken without flour?

fried chicken
Josh asked:

Dont have any flour, and I dont feel like driving out in this Michigan weather to buy any. Is it ok if i use all the other ingredients and leave out the flour? Complications?
Ok, it looks like the “27 years experience” was wrong. I made it without flour, and the batter stuck just fine. Soaked it in milk/eggs, then dipped in straight eggs, then in the breadcrumb and corn flake mix, and it worked wonderfully! Thanks to everyone else though!

The breading will not stick without the flour.

I just marinate mine in soya sauce and fry it. You can just salt and pepper it and fry it too. It’s all good and who needs the extra carbs.

Well. have you got crackers? Or corn flakes! mixed together they’re great, but alone is ok too
You can mash them up, add pepper, garlic, and some paprika.
First, put the chicken into milk with egg and let it sit like 5 minutes. Take the chicken and coat it peice by peice in the coating, and fry until done.
Good with apple sauce! Oh…..but you don’t have the best apple sauce, like the apple sauce we just made! But ANY apple sauce would be good.
    damn, I’m hungry
    Oh, and mashed potatoes!

flour will help you get a better crust but if you cover it in egg then dredge it in breadcrumbs that will work just be careful when frying it because the breadcrumbs are more likely to crust and slide off the chicken.

WHEN I DO NOT FEEL LIKE GETTING THE DEEPFRYER OUT, I PUT MY CHICKEN IN A MILK/EGG WASH THEN BREAD THEM WITH EITHER BREADCRUMBS OR CORNFLAKES AND “OVEN FRY” IT. IT AIN’T AS GOOD AS GRANDMAS BUT IT IS PRETTY GOOD.

crush up some cereal!! Put it in plastic or zip lock bag and roll with rolling pin til totally flat.

season this and dip your chicken in either milk or buttermilk then roll in seasoned cereal. It will stick very well.

Shoot. I had an answer but why should I bother. That fella with 27 years experience is always beating me to it.
