I am making chicken fried rice. What would be good to make with it?
missy asked:
I found the recipe for chicken fried rice from beni hana. I just had chicken yesterday for dinner and I don’t want that as the main course again. I don’t have steak, but I have pork chops and hamburger. Please help me find something to make along with the chicken fried rice that will compliment it.

The pork chops would be perfect! In fact, I would cut them off of the bone and into strips, and either bread and deep fry them, or saute them and mix them in the rice. Frozen green peas are an excellent veggie to mix in as well. Don’t use canned though, as they would be too mushy by the time your dish is ready to serve. Enjoy and God bless!

Add bean sprouts, sake, hoisin and soy sauce and stir-fry until bean sprouts are crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, wrap tortillas or crepes in foil. Place in oven to warm, about 8 minutes. Divide pork mixture among tortillas and roll up to enclose pork mixture. Serve immediately.
