Something along the lines of “Respectfully submitting my 2 week notice as another opportunity has arisen.” I doubt many fast food restaurants are really given the courtesy of a 2 week notice, so anything you jot down will probably be sufficient.

    Dear (boss’s name)

I am resigning my job with KFC effective Friday August 1. I appreciate the opportunities I have had here.

Never leave a job on bad terms for obvious reasons, so just be polite and thank them for the job, but point out that another oppotunity has come along and that you can’t refuse the offer.

    Your name:

    Your manager:

    Dear Manager:

I have enjoyed my time with the company and have learned a lot. However I hereby have to notify you that I will be leaving your employ on (such and such date) as I have been offered a position in a field that I have been pursing.

If situations change in the future I would like to think that I would be welcomed back to the company.

    Sincerely,

    Your name.

I feel you I worked there for 7 years and quit 6 times. I’ve helped alot of people with these. You say I am sorry to say I will be leaving on this date and am putting in my two week notice and depending on if you like the people or not you can say who will be missed or not missed. Then sing it and put it in the office so all can see. If how that works at your store.
