If K.F.C Stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Why do they play sweet home Alabama on the comercials?

    Probably because they don’t have any Sweet Home Kentucky song to use.

    KFC doesn’t stand for Kentucky Fried Chicken anymore. They changed the name to just KFC after Kentucky tried to put a license fee on companies that used the state name.

    It’s Southern Style fried chicken. They are trying to give you that “southern style” in their commercials. Maybe they should have used “My Old Kentucky Home”.

    because fried chicken is associated with fat people. and alabama is the 3rd fattest state.

    both states are considered the south, Swett Home Alabama is kind of a southern USA anthem for everything southern.

    To All that want to know go to the snopes.com website and get the truth at as for the song that is played not sure why they chose it but for me that song does make me want to eat food ever time i here it play knowing the dam great taste of souther cooking being so dam great
