I would gather that the colonel is a very rich guy considering the vast number of stores that he has and rich men never give anything away. But the best way to find out is to go to one of his stores and ask for a meal and tell them that you are broke.

I’ll tell you something that will help though. Check the bushes downwind of any large parking lot. You’ll almost always find money.

I worked for KFC when I was 17 years old…I was never told we could give free food to the starving masses. However, we did GIVE what was left at the end of the night to the Fire Dept. and Police Dept.
and sometimes we would give it to the Volunteer Ambulance Squad.

The Col. did not own every store, these are privately owned stores. The Col. got a percentage of the earnings every month, and his heirs still do get that!!

I remember once, I came in for a store meeting, I was wear my jeans and a T-shirt….I was asked to stay and be the cashier for the night, because the scheduled person called in sick.

At about 5:30PM, in walks the Col’s nephew…and this guy looks EXACTLY like the Col…I about pooped my jeans!! LOL!!
I was shaking in my tennis shoes…no uniform, no name tag, and I thought oh crap!! But, he was all smiles when he left and thanked me for covering for the sick girl…he said, you might want to keep an extra uniform here, just in case.

So, there you have it…my son and my daughter and my ex-husband have all worked for KFC in the past years….none of them know anything about free food for the starving masses….BUT, I think they could give something to a person who really is in need, they throw away so much, it’s pitiful!!

NO it is not true but wouldn’t that be cool. Only then everyone who try to take advantage of it evwn if they didn’t need to.
