Kentucky Fried Chicken has become KFC. Does anybody know why? We thought the real reason was because of the “FRIED” food issue.
IT’S NOT! !
The reason why they call it KFC is because they can not use the word chicken anymore. Why? KFC does not use real chickens. They actually use genetically manipulated organisms. These so called “chickens” are kept alive by tubes inserted into their bodies to pump blood and nutrients throughout their structure. They have no beaks, no feathers, and no feet. Their bone structure is dramatically shrunk to get more meat out of them. This is great for KFC. “

I read this somewhere too. Can’t recall where. I think I stumbleupon-ed it.
I think it’s a bunch of propaganda.

No, this is yet another urban legend. Specifically it is an evolution of an earlier urban legend involving KFC that circulated in roughly 1999 that made the similarly startling claim that the birds processed by KFC are “so pumped up full of steroids, growth enhancements and other chemicals that the end result is no longer truly the meat of a ‘chicken’” (quote from Usenet posting dated March 29, 1999).
Rumors of fast food horrors are about as old as the fast food industry itself, and this one also represents the newfound fear of genetic manipulation that has crept into our society recently.

Absurd! Doing that would cost more.
And the real issue about KFC is that the place where they buy their chicken from is an inhumane environment where chickens live in cramped spaces sleeping in their own *****. And they snip their beaks so they wouldn’t peck each other to death. A even saw a video where they kick the chickens around just for the fun of it.
So about your question, yeah it’s just a rumor.

The tale of the “mutant” chicken is indeed an urban legend, the Food and Drug Administration would never allow this and if KFC up and did it on its own without FDA approval, Ralph Nader would certainly have something to say on the matter. As for the REAL reason Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise went to KFC, is because their advertising firm convinced the company that the company acronym appears more hip.

Sorry, but it’s BS.
That is not scientifically possible, it’s been used in several movies over the last twenty years and some coporate bean counters have proffered it as the wave of the future.
Fortunately for us it’s still 20 or 30 years away from being scientifically workable and economically profitable.
The chickens you are talking about were from a 60 Minutes report from (many) years ago where they showed chickens being kept in such close quarters and tiny cages that they were ripping each other feathers and beaks off.
Just so you know, farm animals are being kept in progressively smaller and smaller cages so that they are easier to control. This causes them to have weak muscles and poor immune systems (which is why they’re being pumped full of antibiotics). Many of them never even develop
the ability to walk anymore, before they are killed and butchered.

What?? OMG if that is true I am never eating there again!
Do you have ANY facts to back this up. If you do I would love to see it. I can’t seem to believe that.
If it is true why wouldn’t they use real chickens? That makes no sense!!

That is not true
