So what business of yours is it ? If your colleague is past the age of reason, he can eat however much of whatever whenever he/she chooses, and it’s none of your business so long as you are not paying for it.

Don’t bother. just let him continue and the problem will fix itself.
–Oh, wait. Do you like him? If so, you may not want to see him die. In that case, just rent him a copy of Supersize Me.

I had the same problem with a co-worker. She used to go to KFC and Taco Bell every day of the week, and I always wanted to tell her to watch her diet, but I was afraid I would hurt her feelings.
One day, at our break, a discussion started about heart attack, obesity, diabetes, and i took the chance and started expressing my opinion. I was looking at somebody else, but I noticed she kept starring at me the whole time; the next day, she invited me to go to McDonalds and try one of the new saladas at the time. hahaha
I felt good because I think she got my point about eating smart. I wasn’t trying to make her feel bad about her weight or anything, I was just telling how important it is to watch now to avoid suffering later.
Try, little by little, to talk him into health dieting. It doesn’t need to be a salad. Hoagies are good too, in a certain way. And there are so many options out there! Just switching from deep-fried chicken to a grilled ****** already makes a huge difference. And there is nothing like a home cooked meal, right?

Present him with facts. Get some info online, print it out, and show it to him. Or, encourage him to try Subway, which isn’t as bad.
