The chicken at KFC is no more and no less genetically modified than any other chicken that is available to eat. KFC doesn’t raise their own chickens, they buy their chickens from the same suppliers that everyone else uses.
KFC changed their name from Kentucky Fried Chicken for marketing reasons, because they planned on selling more than just chicken. They also wanted to remove the word “fried” from the name, because fried foods are notoriously unhealthy.
