I liked the original recipe for Kentucky fried chicken however I realize that fried foods are not particularly healthy. Does the new grilled chicken taste like the old fried chicken, based on the 11 herbs and spices that KFC is so famous for, or is it a completely new recipe?

I always liked the original fried chicken recepie but for several years now it does not taste the same. What Happened? Did they lose the secret recepie or did they not pass all ingredients along to whoever they sold out to?

An article on Yahoo! News about the security involved with the recipe got me thinking.

Couldn’t a lab find out the 11 herbs and spices and in what quantity to extract a similar recipe?

Doesn’t the FDA need to know what is served at restaurants (KFC). What if one of the eleven herbs and spices is *****? No one would know because know one no ones what they are. I figured that there was a need-to-know factor for the Food and Drug Administration.
