Our local KFC is a very unique one, they had a buffet and juke box. So it is kinda fun to go there.
Only other places I can think of is Lee’s chicken or Roosters.

Be very careful about choosing a business name..it has to convey serious business, especially with food, should not sound particularly ‘cute’, but be easily remembered. AND.. you do not want people to come and “hang out.” People who hang out do not spend money, you need them in, buy the food, eat it and leave to make room for more paying customers. This ain’t a social club, it is a business. Good luck

making it “The Funky Chicken” - that name sounds like a fun place and would certainly get me wanting to check it out ..

Fried chicken?? Oh geez… not another fast food joint to clog up people’s arteries with grease. Are you aware that we are facing a GLOBAL obesity epidemic?? We don’t need more places for people to shove their faces full of greasy food.

Here’s a better idea:

If you want people to hang out and have fun somewhere, open up an independant, fun little organic/vegetarian restaurant.

Have couches, play indie music, maybe have a few local beers on tap… feature healthy fun/spicy/interesting international-type cuisine… have some subscriptions to a variety of magazines/newspapers lying around… occassionally have local artists showcase their work in your restaurant, have regional/local musicians come play some cozy ‘unplugged’ shows, you could even promote environmental issues, challenge other restaurants to friendly competitions to reduce energy use or reduce saturated fat in the meals, etc etc….

It’ll be a restaurant with a conscience that you can feel GOOD about at the end of the day: You aren’t killing people to make a buck.

What we need is NOT another fried chicken joint.
